How It Works--TriAngle Training

Leandro has revealed that the secret to his success is his TriAngle Training. Your booty is made up of three major muscles, and each has three or four muscle 'heads', which attach those muscles to your skeleton. Those attachments are what hold your booty up and make it look perky and cute. So by targeting those muscle 'heads' from 12 different angles, he makes sure to deliver the perfect butt.

Here are some sample Leandro Carvalho workouts as previewed by Cosmopolitan in 2005 - some of the great techniques that he's been refining and that will soon be available on his Brasil Butt Lift workout program!

The Caliente Corkscrew

Brazil Butt LiftLie on your left side with your head resting on your arm. Place your right palm in front of your chest for support. Bring your top knee toward you chest and rotate your hip slightly so your knee is pointing toward the floor. Flex your foot so that your heel is angled toward the ceiling. Lift and lower your top leg using a full range of motion. Stick with it for 20 reps before switching sides.

Ballerina Booster

Brazil Butt LiftStand with your feet wider than shoulder-width apart, toes pointed out to th sides. Tucker your tailbone under and squeeze your glutes. Let your arms dangle in front of you. Lower down into a plie squat while simultaneously raising your arms at shoulder height. This will help you maintain good balance. Sink as low as you can comfortably go without allowing your knees to creep past your toes. Hold for a two-second count and then return to the starting position. Repeat this up-and-down motion 10 times. On the eleventh rep, go down and hold. Pulse at the bottom for 20 seconds.

The Samba Tornado

Brazil Butt LiftCarvalho closes all of his classes with a booty shake to break down all the lactic acid that's built up during the workout. Stand with your feet wider than shoulder-width apart. Place your hands on your hips and swivel around in wide circles. Move right, left, front, and back with some attitude, really sticking that booty out there. Move up and down until your muscles feel loose and relaxed. You're done!

Who Is Leandro Carvalho?

Leandro CarvalhoA Brazilian who performed professional ballet before coming to the States to dance and perform in New York musicals, Leandro Carvalho soon spread his expertise into the realm of physical fitness, having noticed that the men and women around him on the stage boasted some of the tightest, firmest booties in the world. Ballerinas, samba dancers, and the women who practice the Afro-Brazilian fighting style of capoeira all sported the best buns—“not too bulky, just tight and perky,” as he told Cosmo in an interview.

With this in mind, and having earned every possible exercise instructor certificate out there, Leandro quickly began to gain a large following with his Brazilian themed classes that were designed to not only shred and tone but also give everybody a great time doing it. So whether he’s teaching the Brazilian Tummy Tuck or the Amazonian Rhythms class to the public in New York or celebrities in L.A. or Victoria Secret models in their own homes, Leandro emphasizes the same core moves that have made the Brazilian booty and beach body in general an international phenomenon.
